Article Designing an Off-Road Working Lamp With Leds(Istanbul Univ, Fac Engineering, 2011) Cil, Celal Zaim; Yakisir, Burcu; 06.02. Elektronik ve Haberleşme Mühendisliği; 06. Mühendislik Fakültesi; 01. Çankaya ÜniversitesiIn this study a working lamp used on the off-road working machines and vehicles is designed by using the LED diodes instead of a halogen bulb. In the design, firstly a LED array is determined and a proper driver circuit that can provide the required optical power is designed, and the working lamp developed is tested under various conditions. The luminous output values of the designed LED working lamp are compared with those of a commercial working lamp, which uses a halogen bulb. It is evaluated that in automotive applications lamps using LEDs could be successfully utilized depending on the optical efficacy of the LED used, the designs of the LED driver and the reflector.Article Citation - WoS: 1Literature Review on Cyber Security Investment Decisions(Gazi Univ, 2016) Cil, Celal Zaim; Sagiroglu, Seref; Senturk, Hakan; 06.02. Elektronik ve Haberleşme Mühendisliği; 06. Mühendislik Fakültesi; 01. Çankaya ÜniversitesiSevere financial losses incurred by cyber security attacks with increasing complexity and frequency, as well as booming cyber security sector offering variety of products as investment options have led the focus of the research in the field to the economic dimension of cyber security. The need for determination of methods to be used when making cyber security investment decisions under budget constraints have become prominent. In five sections as the cyber security investment strategies, risk identification and measurement, attack costs and impacts calculation, measurement of technology effectiveness and determination of optimum level of cyber security investments, this study reviews and evaluates the academic literature on economic aspects of cyber security for the last fifteen years and aims to provide research directions by pinpointing literature gaps.
