In this study, a quantitative research approach supported by expert validation interviews was conducted to determine the availability of virtual environments in the training of soccer referees. The aim is to design a virtual environment for training purposes, representing a real-life soccer stadium to allow the referees to manage matches in an atmosphere similar to the real stadium atmosphere. At this point, the referees have a chance to reduce the number of errors that they make in real life by experiencing difficult decisions that they encounter during the actual match via using the virtual stadium. In addition, the decisions and reactions of the referees during the virtual match were observed with the number of different fans in the virtual stadium to understand whether the virtual stadium created a real stadium atmosphere for the referees. For this evaluation, Presence Questionnaire (PQ) and Immersive Tendencies Questionnaire (ITQ) were applied to the referees to measure their involvement levels. In addition, a semi-structure interview technique was utilized in order to understand participants' opinions about the system. These interviews show that the referees have a positive attitude towards the system since they can experience the events occurred in the match as a first person instead of watching them from camera as a third person. This paper proposes a Caputo-Fabrizio fractional-order cholera epidemic model. Fixed-point theorems are utilized to investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions. A recent and effective numerical scheme is employed to demonstrate the model’s complex behaviors and highlight the advantages of fractional-order derivatives. These schemes take polygons or meshes as inputs and produce smooth curves or surfaces as outputs. In this paper, a class of combine refinement schemes with two shape control parameters is presented. These even and odd rules of these schemes have complexity three and four respectively. The even rule is designed to modify the vertices of the given polygon, whereas the odd rule is designed to insert a new point between every edge of the given polygon. These schemes can produce high order of continuous shapes than existing combine binary and ternary family of schemes. It has been observed that the schemes have interpolating and approximating behaviors depending on the values of parameters. These schemes have an interproximate behavior in the case of non-uniform setting of the parameters. These schemes can be considered as the generalized version of some of the interpolating and B-spline schemes. We apply the obtained representation of a solution to recover a variable coefficient solution of an inverse fractional Cauchy problem. An open-loop hexagonal radiator excited by a microstrip feed line, which is printed on top of the substrate, which is FR4 type, while on another side, a partial ground plane is fixed and embedded with two pairs of slits as well as a pair of rectangular strips. Triple operating bands with two different polarization types are obtained. The lower band has right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) characteristic, whereas the upper band has left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) characteristic means that a dual-band dual-sense circular polarization (CP). Concerning the middle band, a linear polarization (LP) has been gotten in this antenna. Numerical analysis and experimental validation of the proposed antenna structure have been performed, and results are demonstrated. The measured impedance bandwidths (IBWs) are 14.7% (1.478-1.714 GHz), 6.8% (2.54-2.72 GHz), and 13.1% (4.29-4.89 GHz), respectively. The measured 3-dB axial ratio bandwidths (ARBWs) are 6.2% (1.510-1.606 GHz), and 22.7% (4.035-5.07 GHz) for the lower and the upper band, respectively. Certain nationally-developed certification systems are used globally without being subjected to adjustments with respect to local geographical, cultural, economic and social parameters. This may lead to a situation where the results of an evaluation may not reflect the reality of the region and/or the site of construction. The main objective of this paper is to examine and underline the problems regarding the issue of weighting environmental concerns in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system, which is a US-originated but globally used assessment tool. The methodology of this study consists of; (i) an analysis of the approach of LEED in the New Construction and Major Renovations scheme in version 3 (LEED NC, v.3) and the Building Design and Construction scheme in version 4 (LEED BD + C, v.4), (ii) case studies in which regional priority credits (RPCs) set by LEED for four countries (Canada, Turkey, China and Egypt) are criticized with respect to countries' own local conditions, and, (iii) an analysis of the approaches of major environmental assessment tools, namely; BREEAM, SBTool, CASBEE and Green Star, in comparison to the approach in LEED, regarding the main issue of this paper. This work shows that, even in its latest version (v.4) LEED still displays some inadequacies and inconsistencies from the aspect of environmental concern prioritization and has not yet managed to incorporate a system which is more sensitive to this issue. This paper further outlines the differences and similarities between the approaches of the aforementioned major environmental assessment tools with respect to the issue of concern and the factors that should be integrated into future versions of LEED. Kushan; Garcia, Caterina Bartomeu; Webster, Thomas J.; 224219In recent decades, due to some limitations from alumina (Al2O3) and zirconia (ZrO2), silicon nitride (Si3N4) has been investigated as a novel bioceramic material, mainly in situations where a bone replacement is required. Si3N4 ceramics and its derivative form, SiAlON, possess advantages in orthopedics due to their mechanical properties and biologically acceptable chemistry, which accelerates bone repair. However, biological applications require additional properties, enabling stronger chemical bonding to the surrounding tissue for better fixation and the prevention of bacteria biofilm formation. Therefore, two commercial Si3N4 and SiAlON ceramics were investigated in this study and compared to each other according to their material properties (like wetting angles and surface chemistry) and their antibacterial behaviors using E. coli. Results provided evidence of a 15% reduction in E. coli colonization after just 24 h on Si3N4 compared to SiAlON which is impressive considering no antibiotics were used. Further, a mechanism of action is provided. The population is divided into four groups by this system: susceptibility S(xi), infectious I(xi), immunized infants V(xi), and restored R(xi). The stochastic technique is used to describe and assess the invariant region, basic reproduction number, and local stability for disease-free equilibrium. This strategy has significant modelling difficulties since it ignores the unpredictability of the system phenomena. To prevent such problems, we convert the deterministic strategy to a randomized one, which seems recognized to have a vital influence by adding an element of authenticity and fractional approach. Owing to the model intricacies, we established the existence-uniqueness of the model and the extinction of infection was carried out. This survey focuses on the most outstanding recent metaheuristic feature selection algorithms of the last two decades in terms of their performance in exploration/exploitation operators, selection methods, transfer functions, fitness value evaluations, and parameter setting techniques. The Caputo fractional derivative is utilized to define this distributed-order fractional derivative. A hybrid approach based on the fractional Euler functions and 2D Chebyshev cardinal functions is proposed to derive a numerical solution for the problem under consideration. It should be noted that the Chebyshev cardinal functions process many useful properties, such as orthogonal-ity, cardinality and spectral accuracy. To construct the hybrid method, fractional derivative oper-ational matrix of the fractional Euler functions and partial derivatives operational matrices of the 2D Chebyshev cardinal functions are obtained. Using the obtained operational matrices and the Gauss-Legendre quadrature formula as well as the collocation approach, an algebraic system of equations is derived instead of the main problem that can be solved easily. The accuracy of the approach is tested numerically by solving three examples. The reported results confirm that the established hybrid scheme is highly accurate in providing acceptable results.(c) 2023 THE AUTHORS. Recently, assembly lines with multiple workers at each workstation have become very common in the literature. These lines are often found in the manufacturing of large vehicles, where workers at a workstation may perform their assigned tasks at the same time. Most research on multi-manned assembly lines focuses on balancing tasks and workers among workstations and scheduling tasks for workers. This study, however, concentrates on assigning tasks to workers already assigned to a specific workstation, rather than balancing the entire line. The problem was identified through an industrial case study at a large vehicle manufacturing company. The study presents two methods, one using mixed integer linear programming and the other using constraint programming, to minimise the number of workers required on a multi-manned assembly line with sequence-dependent setup times. The results of the computational experiments indicate that the constraint programming method performs better than the mixed integer linear programming method on several modified benchmark instances from the literature. In the location model, the fire units are considered as the facilities to be located and the possible approach routes of air vehicles are treated as demand points. Considering the probability that fire by the units will miss the targets, the objective of the problem is to determine the positions that provide coverage of the approach routes of the maximum number of weapons while considering the military principles regarding the tactical use and deployment of units. In comparison with the conventional method, the proposed methodology presents a more reliable, faster, and more efficient solution. On the other hand, owing to the DSS, a battery commander who is responsible for air defence becomes capable of determining the optimal weapon and radar positions, among the alternative ones he has identified, that cover the possible approach routes maximally. Additionally, he attains the capability of making such decisions in a very short time without going to the field over which he will perform the defence and hence without being subject to enemy threats. K.; Guvenc, Z. B.; 1155In this work we present the results of a detailed theoretical research for the small LinBm clusters and their hydrogen storage properties by means of density functional theory. All calculations were performed by using Gaussian03 program. For the optimization of the clusters 6-311++G(d,p) basis set was employed. We have chosen global minimum of B-6 cluster as the starting point and replaced the boron atoms one at a time, in a stepwise manner, with Li atoms. For these new structures we have searched for the stable configurations, and calculated their energies, HOMO-LUMO energy gaps, Raman and infrared data, average boron, and lithium charge distribution, and vibrational frequencies. Our results show that as the number of Li atoms increases, stability of the clusters decreases and they become more reactive. In addition to that, there are significant charge transfers from boron atoms to lithium atoms on average. The hydrogen storage capabilities of the most stable isomers of LinBm and B-6 clusters have also been investigated by the same methods, and the results are compared. The Li3B3 has the highest hydrogen storage capacity among the clusters investigated in this study. Furthermore, formation of hydrogen molecules is observed in the vicinity of the clusters, some of which are attached to the Li atoms. In addition, as the number of hydrogen atoms increases, the boron atoms are separated from the other boron atoms, and they form satellite BHx (x = 3,4) clusters around the center. To investigate the model's numerical solution, a hybridized numerical scheme called the Grunwald Letnikov nonstandard finite difference (GL-NSFD) scheme is created. Some essential characteristics of the population model are scrutinized, including positivity boundedness and scheme stability. The aforementioned features are validated using test cases and computer simulations. The mathematical graphs are all detailed. The effect of vertical transmission and cure rate on the basic reproduction number is shown. The Atangana-Baleanu fractional operator in caputo sense (ABC) with non-singular and non-local kernels is used to study the model. The existence and uniqueness of solutions are investigated using the Picard-Lindel method. Ultimately, for illustrating the acquired results, we perform some numerical simulations and show graphically to observe the impact of the arbitrary order derivative.
