Biyofilik Tasarım Unsurlarının İç Mekanlardaki Mekansal Algı Üzerindeki Etkisi: Ofis Ortamları Üzerine Bir Vaka Çalışması

Abstract

Bu çalışma, biyofilik tasarım unsurlarının ofis ortamına entegrasyonunu ve kullanıcıların duygusal durumu üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmaktadır. Biyofilik tasarım, insan doğası ile bağlantıyı güçlendirmek amacıyla doğal unsurları yapılı çevreye dahil etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, biyofilik tasarım unsurları biyofilik tasarım matrisine göre özenle seçilmiş ve tasarlanan ofis ortamına aşamalı bir şekilde entegre edilmiştir. Entegrasyon süreci doğanın doğrudan ve dolaylı unsurlarını, doğal şekil ve formları, doğal desen ve malzemeleri içermektedir. Biyofilik tasarımın teorik temelleri üzerinde durulmuş ve seçilen unsurların mekânsal düzenlemelere nasıl dâhil edildiği detaylı bir şekilde açıklanmıştır. Araştırmanın bir diğer önemli aşaması ise biyofilik tasarım unsurlarının ofis kullanıcıları üzerindeki etkilerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla bir anket çalışması yapılmış ve kullanıcıların duygusal durumları analiz edilmiştir. Anket sonuçları, biyofilik tasarım unsurlarının kullanıcıların duygusal durumu ve genel refahı üzerinde olumlu etkileri olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu tez, biyofilik tasarımın ofis ortamlarındaki potansiyel faydalarını ortaya koymakta ve gelecekteki ofis tasarımlarında biyofilik unsurların daha yaygın kullanımı için öneriler sunmaktadır.In this study the incorporation of biophilic design elements into the office environment and its effects on the perception of the users is investigated. Biophilic design aims to integrate natural elements into the built environment so as to strengthen the connection of humans with nature. In this study, biophilic design elements were selected according to the 'Biophilic Design Matrix' and were gradually integrated into the virtually designed office environment. The integration process of the biophilic elements includes direct and indirect elements of nature, natural shapes and forms, natural patterns and materials. The theoretical foundations of biophilic design are emphasized and how the selected elements are incorporated into the spatial arrangements is explained in detail. Another important stage of the research is the evaluation of the effects of biophilic design elements in the office environments on users. For this purpose, a survey was conducted and the emotional state of the users was analyzed. The survey results show that biophilic design elements have positive effects on the emotional state and perception of users. This thesis demonstrates the potential benefits of biophilic design in office environments and provides recommendations for an increased use of biophilic elements in future office designs.
