Covid-19 pandemi döneminde hemşirelerin profesyonel değerlerinin ve mesleki tutumlarının işe adanmışlıklarına etkisi

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemisi ile hemşirelik mesleğinin, kişilerin bakım ve rehabilitasyonu hususunda önem arz ettiği daha yaygın olarak anlaşılmıştır. Bu süreçte profesyonel değerleri ile mesleki tutumlarının, hemşirelerin işe adanmışlıkları üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi ve bu sonuçlara göre sağlık yöneticilerinin gereken önlemleri alması, sağlık sistemi açısından önemlidir. Bu kapsamda, bu çalışmada, Bartın Devlet Hastanesi'nde çalışan hemşirelerin ve hemşirelik bakım hizmeti veren ebelerin oluşturduğu örneklem üzerinden Covid-19 pandemi döneminde, hemşirelerin profesyonel değerlerinin ve mesleki tutumlarının, işe adanmışlıkları üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu maksatla, 415 anket verisiyle ulaşılan araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda, hemşirelerin profesyonel değerleri arasından insan onuru boyutunun, işe adanmışlığın tüm boyutları üzerinde anlamlı pozitif etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, profesyonel değerlerin boyutları arasından harekete geçme algısı işe adanmışlığın dinçlik ve özümseme boyutlarını pozitif yönde etkilemektedir. Diğer taraftan hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik tutumun, işe adanmış olmanın dinçlik alt boyutu üzerindeki etkisi incelendiğinde yalnızca, mesleği tercih etmenin anlamlı etkisi saptanmıştır. Örneklem dahilindeki hemşirelerin mesleği tercih etme nedenleri ve mesleğin genel durumuna ait özelliklerden dolayı kendilerini daha adanmış hissettiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre, hemşirelerin profesyonel değerlerinin ve mesleki tutumlarının, onların işe adanmış olmalarını olumlu yönde etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. With the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been widely understood that the nursing profession is important for the care and rehabilitation of people. In this process, it is important for the health system to determine the effect of the professional values and professional attitudes of nurses, on their work engagement and to take the necessary precautions by health managers. In this context, in this study, the effect of nurses' professional values and professional attitudes on work engagement during the Covid-19 pandemic period was examined through the sample of nurses and midwives providing nursing care at Bartın State Hospital. For this purpose, in line with the research findings obtained with 415 survey data, it has been determined that the human dignity dimension among the professional values of nurses has a significant positive effect on all dimensions of work engagement. On the other hand, when the effect of attitude towards the nursing profession and being engaged to work on the sub-dimension of vigor was examined, only the significant effect of choosing the profession was found. It has been determined that the nurses in the sample feel more engaged due to the reasons for choosing the profession and the characteristics of the general situation of the profession. According to the research findings, it was concluded that the professional values and professional attitudes of nurses positively affect their engagement to work.
