Analytical propagation formulae of elegant higher-order Gaussian beams in turbulent atmosphere are derived based on extended Huygens-Fresnel integral. The intensity and spreading properties of elegant higher-order Gaussian beams and standard higher-order Gaussian beams in turbulent atmosphere are studied numerically and comparatively.
