Widths and Entropy of Sets of Smooth Functions on Compact Homogeneous Manifolds
(Tubitak, 2021) LEVESLEY, Jeremy; KUSHPEL, Alexander; Taş, Kenan
We develop a general method to calculate entropy and n-widths of sets of smooth functions on an arbitrary compact homogeneous Riemannian manifold Md . Our method is essentially based on a detailed study of geometric characteristics of norms induced by subspaces of harmonics on Md . This approach has been developed in the cycle of works [1, 2, 10–19]. The method’s possibilities are not confined to the statements proved but can be applied in studying more general problems. As an application, we establish sharp orders of entropy and n-widths of Sobolev’s classes Wγ p ( Md ) and their generalisations in Lq ( Md ) for any 1 < p, q < ∞. In the case p, q = 1, ∞ sharp in the power scale estimates are presented.

A Gregus Type Common Fixed Point Theorem of Set-Valued Mappings in Cone Metric Spaces
(Eudoxus Press, Llc, 2011) Abdeljawad, Thabet; Abdeljawad, T.; Murthy, P. P.; Taş, Kenan; Tas, K.; Matematik
The main purpose of this paper is to obtain a common fixed point theorem for a pair of set-valued mappings of Gregus type condition in cone metric spaces, so that the main result obtained in [13] will be generalized to cone metric spaces. The cone under consideration will be normal with normal constant K = 1.

Coupled Fixed Point Theorems for Generalized Symmetric Contractions in Partially Ordered Metric Spaces and Applications
(Eudoxus Press, Llc, 2014) Jain, M.; Taş, Kenan; Tas, K.; Rhoades, B. E.; Gupta, N.; Matematik
In the setting of partially ordered metric spaces, we introduce the notion of generalized symmetric g-Meir-Keeler type contractions and use the notion to establish the existence and uniqueness of coupled common fixed points. Our notion extends the notion of generalized symmetric Meir-Keeler contractions given by Berinde et. al. [V. Berinde, and M. Pacurar, Coupled fixed point theorems for generalized symmetric Meir-Keeler contractions in ordered metric spaces, Fixed Point Theory and Appl., 2012, 2012:115, doi:10.1186/1687-1812-2012-115] to a pair of mappings. We also give some applications of our main results.

Wavelet Transform With Chemometrics Techniques for Quantitative Multiresolution Analysis of a Ternary Mixture Consisting of Paracetamol, Ascorbic Acid and Acetylsalicylic Acid in Effervescent Tablets
(Chiminform Data S A, 2006) Baleanu, Dumitru; Dinc, Erdal; Ozdemir, Abdil; Taş, Kenan; Baleanu, Dumitru; Tas, Kenan; Matematik
Quantitative multiresolution analysis of paracetamol (PAR), ascorbic acid (AA) and acetylsalicylic acid (ASP) in pharmaceutical samples was carried out by using simultaneous use of discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) and afterward partial least squares (PLS) and classical least squares (CLS) techniques. The desired concentration was obtained using a set of 20 different calibration samples of PAR, AA, and ASP in different concentration ratio. The absorption spectra in the spectral range of 220-305 nm were recorded and their absorption values were measured at 850 points with intervals of Delta lambda = 0. 1 nm. The obtained DWT-CLS and DWT-PLS calibrations were tested by analysing the independent synthetic mixture containing the above subject compounds. The experimental results showed that DWT-CLS and DWT-PLS techniques are suitable for simultaneous determination of PAR, AA and ASP in samples. The obtained results were compared with those in literature.

Common Fixed Points of Self Maps Satisfying an Integral Type Contractive Condition in Fuzzy Metric Spaces
(Univ Osijek, dept Mathematics, 2010) Murthy, Penumarthy Parvateesam; Taş, Kenan; Kumar, Sanjay; Tas, Kenan; Matematik
In this paper, first we prove fixed point theorems for different variant of compatible maps, satisfying a contractive condition of integral type in fuzzy metric spaces, which improve the results of Branciari [2], Rhoades [33], Kumar et al .[23], Subramanyam [35] and results of various authors cited in the literature of "Fixed Point Theory and Applications". Secondly, we introduce the notion of any kind of weakly compatible maps and prove a fixed point theorem for weakly compatible maps along with the notion of any kind of weakly compatible. At the end, we prove a fixed point theorem using variants of R-Weakly commuting mappings in fuzzy metric spaces.

Best Proximity Point Theorems for Kt-Types Cyclic Orbital Contraction Mappings
(House Book Science-casa Cartii Stiinta, 2012) Karapınar, Erdal; Karapinar, Erdal; Petrusel, Gabriela; Taş, Kenan; Tas, Kenan; Matematik
In this manuscript, three new KT-types cyclic orbital contractions are defined and some related best proximity point theorems are given. Also, the notion of KT-type cyclic orbital Meir-Keeler contraction is defined and some fixed point theorems for this class of mappings are proved. The results of this manuscript generalize some theorems, on the same subject, of several authors, such as Kirk-Srinavasan-Veeramani, Eldered-Veeramani and Karpagam-Agrawal.

Chemometric Calibration Based on the Wavelet Transform for the Quantitative Resolution of Two-Colorant Mixtures
(Editura Acad Romane, 2005) Baleanu, Dumitru; Dinç, E; Baleanu, D; Taş, Kenan; Üstundag, O; Tas, K; Matematik
In this study we proposed a wavelet transform (WT) followed by two chemometric techniques for the quantitative determination of sunset yellow (SUN) and tartrazine (TAR) in their market samples. Absorbances of the concentration set formed by TAR and SUN mixtures were measured between 335-575 nm at 480 points with 0.5 nm intervals and their absorbance values as absorbance data vectors were transferred into the wavelets domain. A continuous wavelet transform (CWT) was applied, to the absorbance data. The obtained CWT-coefficients (x-block) and concentration set (y-block) were used for the construction of the principal component regression (VCR) and partial least squares (PLS) calibrations. Good results were reported for the application of the combining wavelets and chemometric tools in the determination of colorants in samples.

On Singular Fifth-Order Boundary Value Problems With Deficiency Indices (5, 5)
(Math Soc Serbia-drustvo Matematicara Srbije, 2022) Uğurlu, Ekin; Ugurlu, Ekin; Tas, Kenan; Taş, Kenan; Matematik
This paper is devoted to introduce a way of construction of the well-defined boundary conditions for the solutions of a singular fifth-order equation with deficiency indices (5, 5). Imposing suitable separated and coupled boundary conditions some properties of the eigenvalues of the problems have been investigated.

Dependence of Eigenvalues of Some Boundary Value Problems
(Tsing Hua Univ, dept Mathematics, 2021) Uğurlu, Ekin; Ugurlu, Ekin; Tas, Kenan; Taş, Kenan; Matematik
In this work we deal with a system of two first-order differential equations containing the same eigenvalue parameter. We consider some suitable separated real and complex coupled boundary conditions, and show that the eigenvalues generated by this system are continuous in an eigenvalue branch. Also we introduce the ordinary and Frechet derivatives of these eigenvalues with respect to some elements of the data.
