Article The Impact Of Cloud Computing And Artificial Intelligence Integration On Service Transformation İn Academic Libraries(University and Research Librarians Association (UNAK), 2025) Celik, MuratThis study examines the effects of cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, which are the leading components of information age technologies, on transforming academic libraries from traditional service understanding to modern information centers. The findings obtained through the literature review method show that the infrastructural flexibility, efficiency, and scalability brought by cloud computing and the automation, personalization, and accessibility opportunities provided by AI lead to significant transformations in library services. In addition, the studies revealed that integrating cloud computing and artificial intelligence provides significant gains, such as accelerating access to information, improving user experience, and increasing operational efficiency. However, in addition to infrastructural deficiencies and financial constraints, integration processes also bring about various challenges, such as data security, ethical concerns, legal regulations, personnel competencies, and institutional readiness. The study analyzes the current status of these technologies in libraries, their potential application areas, and future effects. It offers strategic recommendations for information professionals and institution managers in this transformation process. As a result of the study aims to shed light on the future service models of academic libraries by offering suggestions such as continuous education, inter-institutional collaborations, strategic planning and the establishment of ethical policies to overcome these difficulties. © 2025 University and Research Librarians Association (UNAK). The Americanization of political campaigns, which are characterized by certain peculiarities, such as the personalization of politics, weakening of party organizations, wide use of media channels in the political marketing process, need for specialization, primacy of opinions over ideologies and conceptualization of citizens as policy consumers, is a by-product of these dramatic transformations. This paper aims to compare Forza Italia and the Young Party through the Americanization of political campaigns with special emphasis on the connection between the transformation of political campaigns and the crisis of representative democracy.Conference Object Simulacrum: Simulation Virtual Reality for Emergency Medical Intervention in Battle Field Conditions(CEUR-WS, 2018) Güleç, Ulaş; Güleç, U.; Gözcü, M.A.; Yılmaz, Murat; Doğan, S.; Meşurhan, N.; Yılmaz, M.; İşler, V.; Dinç, M.; Bilgisayar Mühendisliği; Yazılım MühendisliğiIn recent years, virtual reality technology has become one of the most effective tools used in the field of education due to its both hardware and software features. There are several studies in the literature that have been developed using the benefits of this technology in many different areas such as military, industrial, education, health and entertainment. This research aims to create a virtual reality based system that trains military personnel on emergency response techniques in the battle environment. In this project developed with respect to the requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces, HTC Vive, one of the most successful virtual helmets, has been used in order to increase the realism of this virtual environment where individuals learn first aid techniques or reinforce their knowledge. Participants who felt themselves in a war environment using this helmet had the opportunity to learn first aid techniques related to bullet injuries, limb ruptures and arm breaks, which are the most common forms of injury in war conditions. This developed environment has been tested by both first aid technicians and experts in the military field to take their opinions about the environment. According to the results obtained from these interviews, it was seen that the designed battle environment does not contain real life risks and it provides a continuous re-opportunity to the participants so that this environment can be a useful educational tool for increasing the knowledge levels and abilities of those who will work in this area.Article Citation - WoS: 7Citation - Scopus: 8Psychometric Properties of the Turkish Version of Cohen- Mansfield Agitation Inventory in Patients With Dementia(Gunes Kitabevi Ltd Sti, 2012) Baştuğ, Gülbahar; Ozel-Kizil, E. Tugba; Bastug, Gulbahar; Erdogan, Seyda; Sakarya, Direnc; Durmaz, Nazli; PsikolojiIntroduction: Cohen-Mansfield Agitation Inventory (CMAI) is frequently used in patients with dementia for the assessment of agitation severity. This instrument is especially used in research investigating the severity of behavioral symptoms and their treatment responses. In this study, psychometric properties of the Turkish version of CMAI were investigated in patients with dementia (n=52). Materials and Method: CMAI-Turkish version was applied by face-to-face interview to the caregivers of dementia patients who were admitted to a geriatric psychiatry outpatient clinic. For validity, the correlations between CMAI total scores and Neuropsychiatry Inventory (NPI) total and subscale scores were evaluated. For internal consistency, Cronbach alpha value of the items was calculated. Results: CMAI scores were significantly correlated with NPI scores and Cronbach alpha value of the scale was high (0.89). Conclusion: Turkish version of CMAI is a valid and reliable tool for the assessment of the frequency and severity of agitation behavior. Further studies might evaluate inter-rater reliability of the scale in inpatients with dementia.Conference Object Factors That Raise the Reality of the Virtual Office Environment Designed To Educate Software Development Processes(CEUR-WS, 2018) Güleç, Ulaş; Güleç, U.; Yılmaz, M.; Yılmaz, Murat; İşler, V.; Bilgisayar Mühendisliği; Yazılım MühendisliğiSoftware Development Virtual Reality (SDVR) is an interactive virtual reality (VR) experience based on the tasks of software development starting from requirement analysis through software testing. The SDVR experience transports participants to a virtual world of a software development organization where they experience development problems and conflicting situations. In SDVR, the participant takes on the role of a new software developer being recruited into software development firm who should work alongside with five virtual characters, played by artificial intelligence. The purpose of this study is to explain the properties of the virtual office environment where the participants can experience software development processes in real office conditions. In order for people to gain experience, the simulated software development process should include the atmosphere and dynamism of the actual office environment. For this reason, the factors affecting the atmosphere of the virtual office environment are presented in the light of the opinions of the experts working in the field of software engineering. According to the results of this study, it is revealed that such a virtual office environment is a useful tool that can be used in the training of individuals who will work in software development field.Conference Object An Industrial Case Study To Improve the Onboaring Process in Software Management(CEUR-WS, 2017) Yılmaz, Murat; Yilmaz, M.; Güleç, Ulaş; Güleç, U.; O'Connor, R.V.; Clarke, P.; Tüzün, E.; Yazılım Mühendisliği; Bilgisayar MühendisliğiIn this study, we investigate expert information about software process known to experienced software developers and study how this is to be transferred to the newly recruited software developers.
