Linear relations between maritime transportation and foreign trade volume were analysed by the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model, and nonlinear relations were analysed by the nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model by using monthly data between 2004 and 2018 in Turkey. Kemal; Cicek, Burak CanThis paper investigates the dynamic response of a heavy military vehicle which is subjected to a dynamic firing load while it is settled on its outriggers. Dynamic behaviour of a settled heavy military vehicle under a dynamic firing load is one of the major design factors of a launching vehicle. Two different finite element (FE) models are created in ANSYS software to obtain the dynamic behaviour of the launching vehicle. Our aim is to maximise the total weighted blood demand satisfaction. To address the problem, we develop a mixed integer linear programming model and propose a hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA). With the help of a local non-integer order rate of change and a new structure induced on the real line, we derive a spatial discrete diffusion equation of fractional order. Then making use of the d'Alembert's change of variable we obtain a time scale which is made of union of disjoint compact intervals. These considerations lead us to a non-homogeneous second order nonlinear differential equation. We assume the resource is released at defined time points and at defined quantities. We also assume that the activity costs are charged once they are completed. Our aim is to minimise the project completion time. We formulate the problem as a pure integer programming model and show that it is strongly NP-hard. We find lower bounds by pure and mixed integer linear programming relaxations of the model and develop three heuristic procedures based on those relaxations. The results of our computational study have revealed the satisfactory performances of our lower bounds and heuristic procedures.Article Citation - WoS: 2Citation - Scopus: 6Controller Area Network With Priority Queues and Fifo Queues: Improved Schedulability Analysis and Message Set Extension(inderscience Enterprises Ltd, 2016) Schmidt, Klaus Werner; Alkan, Burak; Schmidt, Ece Guran; Karani, Duygu Culum; Karakaya, UtkuController area network (CAN) enables communication of electronic control units (ECUs) via messages using priority-based arbitration, which requires the implementation of priority queues (PQs) in the ECU device driver. Nevertheless, it is possible that not all ECUs on a CAN support PQs but use FIFO queues (FQs) instead. In this case, the classical CAN scheduling model with PQs is not suitable for the computation of message worst-case responsetimes (WCRTs) that are essential for verifying the correct vehicle operation. This paper considers an existing scheduling model for CAN with both PQs and FQs. First, an improved algorithm for speeding up the WCRT computation is proposed. Second, the practical case where an existing CAN message set is extended by new messages is addressed. An original algorithm for assigning priorities to new messages while keeping the priority order of existing messages is developed. Both algorithms are evaluated by computational experiments.
