| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study has been to investigate whether education affects GDP in Turkey for the period of 1971-201 using annual data for three levels of education. The data for education consist of primary, secondary and tertiary enrollment rates. The analysis is based on the ARDL bounds testing approach in order to examine the co-integration between education and GDP and the Toda and Yamamoto approach to test for Granger causality. The empirical analysis showed that for the case of Turkey there is no co-integration and no Granger causality between education and GDP. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye için eğitimin üç seviyesinin GSYİH ile ilişkisini araştırmaktır. Yıllık veriler 1971-2011 yıllar için geçerli olup birincil, ikincil ve üçüncü seviyede eğitim, gayri safi sermaye oluşumunu, GSYİH ve işgücünü kapsamaktadır. Ampirik analiz ARDL sınır testi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir ve ek olarak Toda ve Yamamoto nedensellik yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır.
