Designing an information system for management export department process

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren bir oto cam fabrikası ihracaat bölümü için bir bilişim sistemi kurmaktır. Söz konusu fabrikanın ihracaat bölümünde yürütülen işlemler gözlendiğinde hemen tüm işlemlerin menuel olarak yapıldığı, dolayısıyla büyük bir çaba ve zaman kaybı olduğu fark edilmiştir. İhracaat bölümün altyapısı incelendikten sonra da bu çalışmanın yapılmasına karar verilmiştir. Firmanın uygulanmakta olduğu sistem analiz edilmiş, kullanılan ve yaratılan verileni toplanması, saklanması ve işletimini desteklemediği görülmüştür. Firmanın gelecekte de işgücü ve zaman kabını önlemek, yapılan işlem ve uygulanan süreçleri daha tutarlı hale getirmek için bu çalışmada sunulan bilişim sistemi tasarlanarak uygulamaya sokulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to build an information system for the export department of a local auto glass factory in Turkey. After studying the current process and tasks of the department, it is observed mat most of the tasks are done manually, which consumes a lot of time and decrease efficiency in works being accomplished. In this research an overview of the current system is presented and for the purpose of this study, the current processing of the export department is fully examined to see whether it successfully meets the needs and requirements. It is observed that the current system does not support collection, storage, and manipulation of data involved in the system. Moreover all required calculations are done manually. Therefore to do the works in the department more efficient and decrease the time consumed in doing these tasks, a management database is designed to provide the organization more effective way in handling its required works.
