    The Generating Functions play very important role in many areas of Mathematics for they lead as to explore the properties of functions that they generate. In this thesis, definitions of generating functions and their kinds and properties are presented. Their relations to some special functions are discussed. Moreover, and applications of generating functions in several areas of Mathematics are discussed.
