Master Thesis The scattering process of cylindrical waves by a convex hyperbolic reflector(2015) Çelik, Süleyman BurakIn this thesis, the scattered fields by a perfectly conducting convex hyperbolic reflector were investigated by using the methods of modified theory of physical optics and physical optics. Furthermore, the geometrical optics and edge diffracted fields were evaluated by the stationary phase method and the edge point technique, respectively. The uniform diffracted field expressions were obtained by the method of the uniform theory of diffraction. Moreover, the results of modified theory of physical optics and physical optics were plotted and compared numerically. The results of geometrical optics and uniform diffracted fields were also plotted and analyzed numerically.Master Thesis Radar cross section of a conducting flat plate by the method of modified theory of physical optics(2010) Çınar, Ayşe TilaIn this thesis, reflected scattered fields from a conducting rectangular flat plate, and its edges and corners are observed, calculated and analyzed by using the Method of Modified Theory of Physical Optics. In the calculations, two methods, named “Stationary Phase Point Method” and “Edge Point Method”, are used to solve scattering integrals manually. Numerical results of the calculations are evaluated by plotting them in the MATLAB tool.Master Thesis Diffraction of electromagnetic waves by impedance slits and strips(2008) Coşkun, Galip ÇağlarIn this thesis, diffraction process of electromagnetic waves by strips and slits will be examined by using the methods of the physical optics (PO) and modified theory of physical optics (MTPO) that have impedance boundary conditions on them. The integral will be evaluated by using the methods of stationary phase and edge point. The obtained solutions will be compared plotted numerically by using MATLAB.
