The new reported solutions are able to describe more efficiently the behavior of solutions of the transport phenomena in porous media.Article Citation - WoS: 19Citation - Scopus: 18New Results for Multidimensional Diffusion Equations in Fractal Dimensional Space(Editura Acad Romane, 2016) Ma, Min; Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Gasimov, Yusif S.; Yang, Xiao-Jun; MatematikThe multidimensional diffusion equations in fractal dimensional space started to play an important role in physics. In this paper we present the analytical solutions of the multidimensional diffusion equations in fractal dimensional spaces by using the method of separation of variables. The graphs of the exact solutions are presented and the accuracy and efficiency of the approach are revealed for a class of local fractional partial differential equations.Article Citation - WoS: 34Citation - Scopus: 36New Analytical Solutions for Klein-Gordon and Helmholtz Equations in Fractal Dimensional Space(Editura Acad Romane, 2017) Yang, Xiao-Jun; Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Gao, Feng; MatematikWe consider the local fractional Klein Gordon equation and Helmholtz equation in (1+1) fractal dimensional space. The local fractional Laplace series expansion method is used to solve the local fractional partial differential equations in fractal dimensional space. We present the non differentiable analytical solutions and the corresponding graphs. The obtained results illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of this approach to local fractional partial differential equations.Article Citation - WoS: 57Citation - Scopus: 72An Efficient Computational Approach for Local Fractional Poisson Equation in Fractal Media(Wiley, 2021) Ahmadian, Ali; Rathore, Sushila; Kumar, Devendra; Baleanu, Dumitru; Salimi, Mehdi; Salahshour, Soheil; Singh, JagdevIn this article, we analyze local fractional Poisson equation (LFPE) by employing q-homotopy analysis transform method (q-HATM). The PE describes the potential field due to a given charge with the potential field known, one can then calculate gravitational or electrostatic field in fractal domain. It is an elliptic partial differential equations (PDE) that regularly appear in the modeling of the electromagnetic mechanism. In this work, PE is studied in the local fractional operator sense. To handle the LFPE some illustrative example is discussed. The required results are presented to demonstrate the simple and well-organized nature of q-HATM to handle PDE having fractional derivative in local fractional operator sense. The results derived by the discussed technique reveal that the suggested scheme is easy to employ and computationally very accurate. The graphical representation of solution of LFPE yields interesting and better physical consequences of Poisson equation with local fractional derivative.Article Citation - WoS: 8Citation - Scopus: 8Analytical Approximate Solutions of (n+1)-Dimensional Fractal Heat-Like and Wave-Like Equations(Mdpi, 2017) Baleanu, Dumitru; Al Qurashi, Maysaa Mohamed; Sakar, Mehmet Giyas; Acan, OmerIn this paper, we propose a new type (n + 1)-dimensional reduced differential transform method (RDTM) based on a local fractional derivative (LFD) to solve (n + 1)-dimensional local fractional partial differential equations (PDEs) in Cantor sets. The presented method is named the (n + 1)-dimensional local fractional reduced differential transform method (LFRDTM). First the theories, their proofs and also some basic properties of this procedure are given. To understand the introduced method clearly, we apply it on the (n + 1)-dimensional fractal heat-like equations (HLEs) and wave-like equations (WLEs). The applications show that this new technique is efficient, simply applicable and has powerful effects in (n + 1)-dimensional local fractional problems.Article Citation - WoS: 32A New Numerical Technique for Local Fractional Diffusion Equation in Fractal Heat Transfer(int Scientific Research Publications, 2016) Tenreiro Machado, J. A.; Baleanu, Dumitru; Gao, Feng; Yang, Xiao-JunIn this paper, a new numerical approach, embedding the differential transform (DT) and Laplace transform (LT), is firstly proposed. It is considered in the local fractional derivative operator for obtaining the non-differential solution for diffusion equation in fractal heat transfer. A. Tenreiro; Yang, Xiao-Jun; Baleanu, DumitruThis paper treats the description of non-differentiable dynamics occurring in complex systems governed by local fractional partial differential equations. The exact solutions of diffusion and relaxation equations with Mittag-Leffler and exponential decay defined on Cantor sets are calculated. Comparative results with other versions of the local fractional derivatives are discussed.Article Citation - WoS: 71Citation - Scopus: 80An Efficient Computational Technique for Fractal Vehicular Traffic Flow(Mdpi, 2018) Tchier, Fairouz; Singh, Jagdev; Baleanu, Dumitru; Kumar, DevendraIn this work, we examine a fractal vehicular traffic flow problem. The partial differential equations describing a fractal vehicular traffic flow are solved with the aid of the local fractional homotopy perturbation Sumudu transform scheme and the local fractional reduced differential transform method. Some illustrative examples are taken to describe the success of the suggested techniques. The results derived with the aid of the suggested schemes reveal that the present schemes are very efficient for obtaining the non-differentiable solution to fractal vehicular traffic flow problem.Article Citation - WoS: 182Exact Traveling-Wave Solution for Local Fractional Boussinesq Equation in Fractal Domain(World Scientific Publ Co Pte Ltd, 2017) Tenreiro Machado, J. A.; Baleanu, Dumitru; Yang, Xiao-JunThe new Boussinesq-type model in a fractal domain is derived based on the formulation of the local fractional derivative. The novel traveling wave transform of the non-differentiable type is adopted to convert the local fractional Boussinesq equation into a nonlinear local fractional ODE. The exact traveling wave solution is also obtained with aid of the non-differentiable graph. The proposed method, involving the fractal special functions, is efficient for finding the exact solutions of the nonlinear PDEs in fractal domains.Article Citation - WoS: 119Citation - Scopus: 130A Hybrid Computational Approach for Klein-Gordon Equations on Cantor Sets(Springer, 2017) Singh, Jagdev; Baleanu, Dumitru; Kumar, DevendraIn this letter, we present a hybrid computational approach established on local fractional Sumudu transform method and homotopy perturbation technique to procure the solution of the Klein-Gordon equations on Cantor sets. Four examples are provided to show the accuracy and coherence of the proposed technique. The outcomes disclose that the present computational approach is very user friendly and efficient to compute the nondifferentiable solution of Klein-Gordon equation involving local fractional operator.
