Bölümümüzün amacı, ülke ihtiyaçlarını gözeten, çağın gerektirdiği bilgi ve becerilerle donatılmış, mühendisliği özümsemiş, analitik düşünme yeteneğine sahip, kendini sürekli geliştirebilen, etik değerlere önem veren ve çevreye duyarlı mühendisler yetiştirmek; dünya standartlarında özgün bilimsel araştırmalar ile bilim ve teknolojiye katkı sağlamaktır.
