Abstract

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the most long-lived and bloody conflicts of the world. The main problems between the two societies are well-known to the people who have an interest toward the Middle East. Although solutions to the conflict seem to be clear, there are bigger obstacles and prejudice at the social, religious and psychological levels. The paper tries to explain deeper societal problems which prevent resolution of the conflict. Societal problems, which have religious and psychological roots, make reconciliation extremely difficult. After discussing those problems, some conciliation methods for the conflict are proposed to achieve a long-lasting peace. A peaceful solution to the conflict might be an example to other conflicts in the world.
