    Professional liability insurance is a kind of insurance that protects lawyers accountants, doctors, architects etc. against the compensation they will have to pay on the condition that they may cause damage to third parties during their implementation of their profession. The deficiencies in the legislation concerning the liability insurances have been tried to resolve by the changes made in the last 9 years. As a result, "Lawyer‟s Professional Liability Insurance" which is among the liability insurances that are expected to become widespread constitutes the subject of our study. Advocacy professional liability insurance covers the damages that are caused by the condition that the lawyer didn't fulfill the task as necessary and that didn't fulfill the duty of care towards the client and, the damages caused by other misconducts of lawyer. The amounts of compensation that lawyers will have to pay on the condition of these cases are guaranteed by the advocacy professional liability insurance. Although the advocacy professional liability insurances are mainly arranged to protect the lawyer against paying the compensation, it also provides opportunity to the clients who suffer from the misconduct of a lawyer or to the third parties who suffer because the lawyer leaks information to get the compensation in this way and thus, to be protected. Advocacy professional liability insurance is considered as a contemporary tool that assures both the lawyers who performs their jobs and the clients; and that provide them with the opportunity to perform their tasks with no concerns, and it is becoming a more common type of insurance that attracts more attention in the insurance sector.
