Article On the Determination of the Quadratic Pencil of the Sturm-Liouville Operator With an Impulse(Pleiades Publishing Ltd, 2025) Khalili, Y.; Baleanu, D.In this work, an inverse problem for the quadratic pencil of the Sturm-Liouville operator with an impulse in the finite interval is considered. It is shown that some information on eigenfunctions at some internal point \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$b\in\left(\frac{1}{2},1\right)$$\end{document} and parts of two spectra uniquely determine the potential functions and all parameters in the boundary conditions. Moreover we prove that the potential functions on the whole interval and the parameters in the boundary conditions can be established from one spectrum and the potentials prescribed on \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$\left(\frac{1}{2},1\right)$$\end{document}.Article Americanization of Political Campaigns: a Comparison of the Cases of Forza Italia and the Young Party(Turkiye Orta Dogu Amme Idaresi Enstitusu, 2010) Turk, Hasan Bahadir; Türk, Hasan Bahadır; Siyaset Bilimi ve Uluslararası İlişkilerSimilar to political institutions and structures, political campaigns have also undergone dramatic transformations. The Americanization of political campaigns, which are characterized by certain peculiarities, such as the personalization of politics, weakening of party organizations, wide use of media channels in the political marketing process, need for specialization, primacy of opinions over ideologies and conceptualization of citizens as policy consumers, is a by-product of these dramatic transformations. This paper aims to compare Forza Italia and the Young Party through the Americanization of political campaigns with special emphasis on the connection between the transformation of political campaigns and the crisis of representative democracy.Article Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 5Performance Evaluation of Matched Asymptotic Expansions for Fractional Differential Equations With Multi-Order(Soc Matematice Romania, 2016) Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Sayevand, Khosro; MatematikAn extension of the concept of the asymptotic expansions method is presented in this paper. The multi-order differential equations of fractional order are investigated and the convergence of the proposed method is proven. The reported results show that the present approach is very effective and accurate and also are in good agreement with the ones in the literature.Article Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 7On Some Self-Adjoint Fractional Finite Difference Equations(Eudoxus Press, Llc, 2015) Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Rezapour, Shahram; Salehi, Saeid; MatematikRecently, the existence of solution for the fractional self-adjoint equation Delta(nu)(nu-1) (p Delta y)(t) = h(t) for order 0 < nu <= 1 was reported in [9]. In this paper, we investigated the self-adjoint fractional finite difference equation Delta(nu)(nu-2)(p Delta u(t) = j(t,p(t+nu - 2)) via the boundary conditions y(nu - 2) = 0 , such that Delta y(nu - 2) = 0 and Delta y(nu+b) = 0. Also, we analyzed the self-adjoing fractional finite difference equation Delta(nu()(nu-2)p Delta(2)y)(t) = j(t,[(t+nu - 2)Delta(2)y(t+nu-3)) via the boundary conditions y(nu - 2) = 0, Delta y(nu - 2) = 0, Delta(2)y(nu - 2) = 0 and Delta 2y(nu+b) = 0. Finally, we conclude a result about the existence of solution for the general equation Delta(nu()(nu-2)p Delta(m)y)(t) = h(t,p(t+nu - m - 1)Delta(m)y(t+nu - m - 1)) via the boundary conditions y(nu - 2) = Delta y(nu - 2) = Delta(2)y(nu - 2) = center dot center dot center dot Delta(m)y(nu+b) = 0 for oder 1 < nu <= 2.Article Citation - WoS: 7Citation - Scopus: 8Psychometric Properties of the Turkish Version of Cohen- Mansfield Agitation Inventory in Patients With Dementia(Gunes Kitabevi Ltd Sti, 2012) Baştuğ, Gülbahar; Ozel-Kizil, E. Tugba; Bastug, Gulbahar; Erdogan, Seyda; Sakarya, Direnc; Durmaz, Nazli; PsikolojiIntroduction: Cohen-Mansfield Agitation Inventory (CMAI) is frequently used in patients with dementia for the assessment of agitation severity. This instrument is especially used in research investigating the severity of behavioral symptoms and their treatment responses. In this study, psychometric properties of the Turkish version of CMAI were investigated in patients with dementia (n=52). Materials and Method: CMAI-Turkish version was applied by face-to-face interview to the caregivers of dementia patients who were admitted to a geriatric psychiatry outpatient clinic. For validity, the correlations between CMAI total scores and Neuropsychiatry Inventory (NPI) total and subscale scores were evaluated. For internal consistency, Cronbach alpha value of the items was calculated. Results: CMAI scores were significantly correlated with NPI scores and Cronbach alpha value of the scale was high (0.89). Conclusion: Turkish version of CMAI is a valid and reliable tool for the assessment of the frequency and severity of agitation behavior. Further studies might evaluate inter-rater reliability of the scale in inpatients with dementia.Article Citation - WoS: 34Citation - Scopus: 30New Solutions of the Transport Equations in Porous Media Within Local Fractional Derivative(Editura Acad Romane, 2016) Zhang, Yu; Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Yang, Xiao-Jun; MatematikIn this manuscript we use the series expansion method within local fractional derivative to obtain the solutions of both homogeneous and non-homogeneous transport equations. The new reported solutions are able to describe more efficiently the behavior of solutions of the transport phenomena in porous media.Article Citation - WoS: 4Citation - Scopus: 6A Fractional Derivative Inclusion Problem Via an Integral Boundary Condition(Eudoxus Press, Llc, 2016) Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Moghaddam, Mehdi; Mohammadi, Hakimeh; Rezapour, Shahram; MatematikWe investigate the existence of solutions for the fractional differential inclusion (c)D(alpha)x(t) is an element of F(t, x(t)) (equipped with the boundary value problems x(0) = 0 and x(1) = integral(eta)(0) x(s)ds, where 0 < eta < 1, 1 < alpha <= 2, D-c(alpha) is the standard Caputo differentiation and F : [0, 1] x R -> 2(R) is a compact valued multifunction. An illustrative example is also discussed.Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 1Student Participation in Bologna Process: a Case Study From Turkey(Fac Teacher Education, 2014) Kahraman, Zerrin Ezgi; Kahraman, Z. Ezgi; Sakarya, Arif Orçun; Sakarya, A. Orcun; Orçun Sakarya, A.; Şehir ve Bölge Planlama; İşletmeBologna Process studies in Cankaya University's Interior Architecture Department (INAR), Turkey have been initiated in 2008. The goal of this study is to explore students' perceptions about the new programme outcomes framed with the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework and to provide a set of guidelines for the Bologna Process to be implemented. A questionnaire including semi-structured questions is conducted in the data collection process. Content analysis method is used in order to examine students' perceptual outcomes. The findings of the study display that students' perceptions underline the importance of the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences in social, economic and managerial dimensions of the professional life. Results also reveal the need of students for the acquisition and use of communicative, collaborative and interdisciplinary aspects of the profession and their expectations on both theoretical and practical contents of INAR courses. Furthermore, this study which mainly followed a student-cantered approach concluded that it is also possible to generalize new programme outcomes through the active participation of students.Article Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 6A Note on Fractional Neutral Integro-Differential Inclusions With State-Dependent Delay in Banach Spaces(Eudoxus Press, Llc, 2016) Suganya, Selvaraj; Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, Dumitru; Arjunan, Mani Mallika; MatematikWe have applied different fixed point theorems to examine the existence results for fractional neutral integro-differential inclusions (FNIDI) with state-dependent delay (SDD) in Banach spaces. We tend to conjointly discuss the cases once the multivalued nonlinear term takes convex values further as nonconvex values. An example is offered to demonstrate the obtained results.Article Citation - WoS: 8Citation - Scopus: 6Does Adr Listing Affect the Dynamics of Volatility in Emerging Markets(Charles Univ-prague, 2010) Umutlu, Mehmet; Umutlu, Mehmet; Altay-Salih, Aslihan; Akdeniz, Levent; İşletmeThis paper analyzes the time-series variation in the return volatility of non-US stocks from emerging markets that are cross-listed on US exchanges. Unlike previous studies in the cross-listing literature, return volatility is modeled using conditional heteroscedaslicity models. We find that firms' exposure to risks such as local and global market betas remain unchanged after cross-listing. Moreover, we do not identify notable changes in the dynamics of the volatility of cross-listed stocks after cross-listing except for leverage effects. We further show that the mean level of conditional variance is not affected after cross-listing. Thus, our results provide counter-evidence to the belief that foreign investor participation drives volatility upward.
