Bölümümüzün amacı, endüstrinin, akademinin ve ülkemizin ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda uluslararası düzeyde çok yönlü mühendislik eğitimi ve araştırma olanakları sunmak, Disiplinlerarası takımlarda çalışabilme ve araştırma yapabilme kabiliyeti kazanmış, işbirliğine açık, bilimsel bilgi ve analitik düşünme yeteneklerini birleştirerek toplum problemlerine en etkin çözümü getirme kabiliyeti olan, sosyal sorumluluk ve meslek etiğinin bilincinde, akademik ve profesyonel iş hayatında öncelikli olarak tercih edilen kalifiye malzeme bilimcilerini ve mühendislerini yetiştirmek, Öğrencilerimize araştırma ve alanlarında uzmanlaşma imkânı tanımak ve öğrencilerimizin bilim ve teknoloji alanında önemli bilimsel çalışmalarda yer almalarını, bilimsel gelişmelere katkıda bulunmalarını ve önemli mühendislik problemlerine çözüm üretmelerini sağlamaktır.
The aim of our department is to provide versatile engineering education and research opportunities at the international level in line with the needs of the industry, academia and our country. To be a social student who has the ability to work and do research in interdisciplinary teams, is open to collaboration, has the ability to bring the most effective solution to social problems by combining scientific knowledge and analytical thinking skills. To train qualified material scientists and engineers who are aware of responsibility and professional ethics and who are primarily preferred in academic and professional business life. To provide our students with the opportunity to research and specialize in their fields and to enable our students to take part in important scientific studies in the field of science and technology. To enable them to contribute to developments and produce solutions to important engineering problems.
